Uplaksh Kumar, PhD

Uplaksh Kumar is a Venture Partner of Foresite Capital who brings extensive experience in cancer diagnostics and operations, having formerly worked as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations and Scale at GRAIL, where he launched Galleri®, the first of its kind early-detection blood test. Prior to his role at GRAIL, he was the first head of operations at Verily and held various leadership positions at Life Technologies, BD, Lonza, and QIAGEN. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation in the companies he has worked with. Uplaksh holds a BS in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Mumbai, a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
